Groundwork Saturdays

Conor 'SouthPaw' Brown is a Toronto based open format DJ who's been moving dance floors since 2008. Known for his versatility and sharp track selection, SouthPaw seamlessly shifts between curated house, driving techno, and those ambient downtempo moments —adapting his sound to match the moment, whether it's an intimate sunset or a peak-time warehouse banger.

Currently holding down residencies at Steamworks (house & techno) Insomnia (melodic, jazzy & soulful house), SouthPaw also runs Bocce N Beats, a rotating outdoor park series bringing Toronto’s best electronic DJs to all of our green spaces. His monthly show "Sparring Sessions" on Subtle Radio in the UK every second Tuesday is now into its second year.

A fixture in Toronto's queer nightlife scene, SouthPaw has played many festivals & events such as Pride Toronto, Harvest Festival, Spacetime, Wiggle Room, Sound Machine and beloved lost venues like La Piscina, Dundas Video, Wrongbar, Nocturne & Thymeless. From sweaty basement clubs to burning man regionals, he knows how to read the crowd and take you somewhere unexpected.
